My son Kyle got married on Saturday in Nebraska, and my husband’s daughter Gabrielle got married the same day in Kentucky!! Too bad we could not attend either wedding, but we were there in spirit!
A Picture Is Worth A Thousands Words
I have two cats, one named Pepper and one named Salt. Anyway for the last 3 or so days Pepper has been stalking birds and actually catching them, which is something he has never done before. He’s been fixed mind you! Now he has become the Debil cat! The last one he caught was a baby bluebird, no bigger than my hand, and I had to watch the poor thing die slowly. Now this morning I woke up to feathers all over my porch, knowing Pepper had been on the prowl last night! Anyway, while I’m sitting in the house with my front door open, a bird suddenly attaches itself to the screen as if looking for it’s mother, that possibly Pepper killed last night! All I could think of was the old movie “Birds” where the women was attacked in the phone booth! I tell you, Pepper has become the “Debil Cat”!!! Salt is as sweet as ever, and God forbid she should ever become “Debil Cat 2” Ha!!
I wrote a story on and about this picture, but not sure how to submit it to the Daily Post!
Here she sits, alone and pondering, not really interested in the fun and carefree time she would have riding the animals on the carousel. Who is she? It could be you or me, and why not? Remember the feelings and thoughts we all had as children? Happy, sad, or this look? Could be she’s waiting for someone, her mom or dad, to come get her and take her home? We must give her a name, Isabelle seems like a great name, do you agree? Isabelle may have ridden this ride a thousand times and now she’s just tired. The carousel looks old and weathered and has seen many children happy and delighted riding this ride! Isabelle’s hands are holding on as if she wished to pick the ride up and turn it over so no other child may no longer enjoy it! Maybe she’s angry because it no longer works! The creature with the long nose reminds us of Pinnochio and Jiminy Cricket mixed! What a scary thought! But Isabelle does not seem frightened in the least! How wonderful! We have Tigger and Pooh and Rabbit too! How about the long- necked Giraffe, and the beautiful Horse, of course! Isabelle must be ready to leave, and go on to more exciting adventures because this one has grown boring. Maybe a roller- coaster ride with more thrills will put a smile on her face, that this ride can no longer do! First stop is home, for a tall glass of cold milk and chocolate cookies. We’ll see where Isabelle goes to next!
